1. What the service is
Monaco Funded is a skill-based simulated trading evaluation. You pay an entry fee, trade a simulated account against real US market prices, and if you satisfy the published evaluation rules you can qualify for real payouts in a currency we support for payouts (shown in the app; at launch, Trinidad and Tobago dollars).
We run evaluations at three durations. They differ in how long you are measured for and in the shape of the rule set; they do not differ in kind.
-
Day measures you across multiple trading sessions against profit, drawdown, and daily-loss rules.
-
Speed measures you in ten-minute trading bursts across a five-day account life.
-
Afterhours measures you across a single past trading session, replayed, in about ninety seconds.
In each case you pay an evaluation fee, you trade real market prices under rules published before you start, your result is measured against those rules, and a qualifying result pays out. All trading on the platform is simulated: no securities are bought or sold, no brokerage account exists, we hold no securities on your behalf, and your results reflect performance against real market data on our platform, not participation in any market. Monaco Funded is not a broker-dealer, not an investment adviser, and nothing on the platform is investment advice or a solicitation to trade real securities.
2. Eligibility and your account
-
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You confirm your age when you first open Afterhours, and we record that confirmation with the wording you agreed to and the date. Giving a false age is a breach of these terms and voids any entitlement arising from it.
-
The service is offered only in the countries we support, shown in the app before you pay; at launch this is Trinidad and Tobago. We check location on every paid entry and refuse it where we cannot resolve your location or resolve it outside a supported country. Concealing or misrepresenting your location, including by proxy, VPN, or any other means, is a breach of these terms; entries and results obtained that way may be voided and the account closed under section 13.
-
Sharing, buying, selling, or transferring an account is prohibited. If we close your account for any reason listed in section 13, you may not open another. Doing so is a further breach, and the new account may be closed and its balances forfeited.
-
You may hold one account. Opening or operating more than one, by any means, is a breach; we may close every account involved and forfeit their balances under section 13.
-
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. Activity under your login is attributed to you.
-
We may require identity verification at any time, and always before a withdrawal (section 7).
3. Fees and the wallet
Your wallet holds two separate balances. They are not interchangeable, and the difference is the most important thing in these terms.
-
Credits. Money you have paid us, and any promotional or goodwill amount we grant. Credits are prepaid platform credit: usable to pay platform fees, not a deposit, not money held for you, earning no interest, and never withdrawable to a bank account or redeemable for cash. The only way value leaves your Credits balance other than by paying a fee is a refund to your original payment method under the Refund Policy.
-
Earnings. Amounts we credit you for a result you achieved on the platform under the published rules. Earnings may be used to pay platform fees and may be withdrawn to a bank account in your own name, subject to section 7. An Earnings balance is an entitlement earned under the published rules, not a debt we hold for you, and it is subject to section 13.
No amount ever moves from Credits to Earnings. Paying a fee from Credits does not convert that money into Earnings; the fee is consumed, and any Earnings you receive are a separate amount credited for your result, not a return of your fee. The most you can ever withdraw is what you have earned.
Partner credit. Some Credits are promotional. The Partner credit we grant when you enter a valid partner code with a top up, which lands when that payment succeeds, is Credits in every respect above, with three further conditions. It is spent before any other Credits. It is never refunded, because you did not pay for it. And while you hold any Partner credit, your Earnings cannot be withdrawn until you have either played five Afterhours evaluations since that credit arrived or used the credit up; your wallet shows you where you stand. Partner credit is offered to each person once, on one account, and the first code used is the one that counts. Obtaining it again through another account, false information, or by circumventing the limits we apply is misuse; we may reverse the credit, and any Earnings, results or pending payouts that arose from it are forfeited under section 13.
-
Fees and prices are shown in the app before you pay, in a currency we support (at launch, Trinidad and Tobago dollars).
-
Each purchase draws on one balance only. Where you have a choice, the app asks which balance pays and shows both before you confirm.
-
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. The Complaints Procedure, the Risk Disclosure, the AML and Identity Verification Notice, and the Responsible Participation Policy also form part of these terms.
4. The evaluations and the rules
-
These rules apply to all three durations. Each account or run is governed by the specific rule set published for its tier or duration at the time it is activated (profit targets, drawdown and daily-loss limits, time windows, position limits, fees). The rule parameters that apply to your account are always visible in the app.
-
The platform is server-authoritative: order acceptance, pricing, fills, balances, and rule evaluation are computed on our servers from our market-data feed, and our servers' records control. What your device displays is a view, not the source of truth.
-
Orders may be rejected to protect pricing integrity, for example when quotes are stale or a book is malformed, or when they would exceed your buying power. Rejection reasons are shown in the app.
-
Simulated fills are priced by the server from its authoritative quote, with published fees applied. Fill prices can differ from what any other display shows.
-
We record every order, fill, rule evaluation, and wallet movement in an append-only ledger.
-
Restarting. Where the app offers it, you may pay to reset an evaluation to a fresh state, or to resume trading after a daily-loss lockout. These are evaluation fees like any other. Each is a separate, priced purchase, shown before you confirm, and there is no limit on how many times you may buy one. A reset does not restore a fee already consumed and does not undo a completed result.
5. Afterhours evaluations
Afterhours is the shortest of the three durations. You are shown a replay of a past trading session and trade it against the clock; your result is measured against a published schedule and settled when the session ends. Section 4 applies to it in full.
-
The session replayed is real past market history. It is presented at an accelerated rate, and the app discloses that acceleration where the mechanics are explained.
-
The session is chosen by our servers and is not disclosed to you in advance. Attempting to obtain, infer, or exploit the session data before or during an evaluation is a breach of section 8.
-
Your positions are recorded by our servers as they are received, and our servers' record of what you held, and when, controls. An evaluation that loses its connection continues to run and settles on the last position our servers recorded for you.
-
An Afterhours evaluation ends on its published time limit or when the published loss line is reached, whichever comes first. The published schedule determines what a qualifying result returns.
-
Afterhours evaluations are priced per entry, shown before you confirm, and may be taken as often as you choose subject to section 2 and these terms. The entry fee is an evaluation fee and is treated as one throughout these terms and the Refund Policy.
6. Simulated results, real limits
Simulated trading does not involve market execution, liquidity consumption, or counterparties, and simulated results do not predict real trading results. Market data can contain vendor errors, outages, and anomalies; the platform applies integrity guards that may hold displayed prices, quarantine bad data, or reject orders while such conditions last.
7. Payouts and withdrawals
-
Amounts credited to Earnings for a result under the published rules may be withdrawn to a bank account held in your own name.
-
Every withdrawal is conditional on identity verification (see the AML and Identity Verification Notice), anti-money-laundering screening as required by law, the destination account matching your verified identity, and a conduct review of the account's activity (section 8). We may hold a withdrawal while any of these is outstanding or unresolved.
-
We do not make payments to third parties, and we do not redirect a withdrawal to an account in another name.
-
Withdrawals are processed by bank transfer to a bank account in your own name, in a country we support for payouts (shown in the app; at launch, Trinidad and Tobago). We do not guarantee processing times. During any period we identify in the app as a testing period, withdrawal processing is limited and the signage shown in the app governs.
-
You are responsible for your own taxes on amounts you receive.
-
Credits are not payouts. Credits cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash in any circumstance (section 3).
-
The limits that apply to putting money in and taking money out are published in the Limits document, which forms part of these terms. It states the amounts; this section states the process.
8. Prohibited conduct
Our evaluations measure trading skill against published mechanics. The following are prohibited and may result in evaluation invalidation, account closure, and forfeiture of fees or pending payouts, at our reasonable discretion supported by our records:
-
exploiting, or attempting to exploit, data-feed anomalies, latency, stale prices, or any platform defect (if you find one, report it; do not trade it);
-
obtaining, inferring, or attempting to obtain any part of an Afterhours session's data before or during that evaluation, by any means;
-
concealing or misrepresenting your location or age, including by proxy or VPN;
-
coordinated trading across accounts, trading another person's account, or copying trades between accounts to hedge evaluation risk;
-
opening or operating more than one account, or obtaining any promotion, credit or grant more than once per person;
-
automated access, scraping, or order submission by bots or scripts without our written consent;
-
redistributing market data displayed by the platform;
-
interfering with the service, other users, or our infrastructure.
Where our records show that a platform defect, or conduct prohibited by this section, produced balances or results in your favour, we may correct the affected balances by recording compensating entries in your wallet ledger, and we may separately invalidate affected evaluation results and suspend or close affected accounts under this section and section 13. A correction is recorded beside the original entries, never in place of them: your history keeps both. Depending on the extent, the consequences above, including a ban, may also apply. This paragraph is the counterpart of section 9, which governs a defect that harms you.
9. Platform incidents
If we determine that a platform defect (for example, a data-feed fault) materially and unfairly affected your evaluation, we may at our election restore the affected account state, grant credits, re-run the affected evaluation, or refund the affected fee. This is the exclusive remedy for platform incidents, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Availability and changes
The platform is provided as-is and as-available: no uptime guarantee is given, maintenance and integrity holds can interrupt service, and we may change features, tiers, fees (prospectively), and rules (for accounts activated after the change) at any time. We may suspend trading or the platform where integrity requires it.
11. Intellectual property
The platform, its software, branding, and content are ours or our licensors' and are licensed to you for personal use of the service only.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the total fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Suspension, closure, and forfeiture
-
You may close your account at any time. Closing starts a 30 day recovery window: your open positions are closed, your accounts are closed, you are signed out, and nothing is forfeited yet. Contact us during that window and we will reinstate your account. Reinstatement restores your identity, your history, and your balances. Evaluations that were closed when you asked to close your account stay closed. Fees already consumed are handled under the Refund Policy.
-
At the end of the recovery window your Credits are forfeited and your Earnings balance is not. Credits are a discount on our fees and are never paid out. An Earnings balance is money you earned under the published rules, and it remains payable to you under this section.
-
If you close your account while you hold an Earnings balance, we will pay it to you, subject to section 7 (identity verification, screening, and a bank account in your own name). If we cannot yet pay you, your closure does not complete. Your account stays closed and signed out, and we keep the identity and contact details we need in order to pay you, until the balance is paid or you tell us in writing that you give it up. We hold those details for that purpose alone.
-
We may suspend or close any account at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. We are not required to state a reason, except where law requires it. An account we close is closed immediately, with no recovery window, and we retain its records.
-
If we close your account and you hold an Earnings balance, we will pay it to you, subject to section 7, except where we determine, on our records, that you have engaged in any of the following, in which case any Earnings balance and any pending result may be forfeited in whole or in part:
-
fraud, attempted fraud, or providing false information, including a false age or location;
-
any conduct prohibited by section 8 (prohibited conduct);
-
trading an account that is not your own, or opening an account after we have closed one of yours;
-
initiating a payment dispute in bad faith, or a pattern of disputes;
-
breach of these terms, or use of the platform for an unlawful purpose.
-
If we close your account for any reason listed above, you forfeit everything in it. Any Earnings balance, any pending result, and any unspent Credits are forfeited, and no refund is due for fees already paid or for Credits already bought. This is in addition to any other remedy available to us.
-
Credits are not paid out on closure in any circumstance; where closure is not for a reason listed above, unspent Credits may be refunded to your original payment method at our discretion under the Refund Policy.
-
Sections that by their nature survive (records, liability, disputes) survive closure.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Trinidad and Tobago, and the courts of Trinidad and Tobago have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the service. Before starting proceedings, you agree to raise the matter with us first under the Complaints Procedure, which is part of these terms. Nothing here removes any right you have that the law does not allow to be removed.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app with the new effective date. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. The rule set governing an already-activated account does not change retroactively (section 4).
